I have been a medical professional in health care for over 20 years. My professional career started as a Laboratory Medical Scientist working in a clinical laboratory as a microbiologist. With the sciences sparking my interest in healthcare, I enrolled at Indiana University Northwest where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working as a registered nurse in emergency medicine for 10 years I continued my education and graduated from Valparaiso University as a nurse practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. Currently, I am certified in family and emergency medicine through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. I have experience in orthopedics/orthopedic surgery and completed my Registered Nurse First Assist through the National Institute of First Assisting. I am a Northwest Indiana local and currently reside in Crown Point with my husband and very spoiled canine fur child Chili. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, gardening, canning, yoga, strength training, and walking with my husband and Chili.
