Dr. Rich McClain

Dr. Rich McClain joined Great Lakes Orthopedics in 2019 and is a general orthopedic surgeon specializing in disorders of the shoulder, hip, and knee. His procedures include minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacements, and anterior hip replacements.

Dr McClain graduated in 1984 from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then served for 8 years as a US Navy aviator. He next attended Texas A&M University for graduate studies in medical biochemistry and genetics, and later received his medical degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed internship and residency at Michigan State University, Lansing.

Dr McClain has been practicing in northern Indiana since 2002 at Goshen, and later Plymouth.

Dr McClain also brings a unique perspective to the practice as he has had two shoulder and three knee surgeries.
