To all our patients,

We truly hope this finds you healthy and we would like to take a moment and thank you for being a part of our Great Lakes Orthopedics family, either currently or in the past. Your trust in us to take care of your orthopedic needs means a lot and we appreciated it and do not take it for granted. It is for that reason we are writing you today. We respect our relationship so much that we would like to write to you personally to keep you abreast of some changes in the near future regarding our practice, so that you may stay informed and know precisely how and where we can serve your needs.

Due to the ever changing environment in healthcare these days, we have seen the need to make a few changes to better serve you. After many years, we sadly will no longer be on in-patient staff at St. Anthony’s in Crown Point IN. However we will be on adjunct staff at St Anthony’s and we will be able to do outpatient procedures at Franciscan Point Surgery Center located at 231 and I-65. Therefore as long as it is not an emergent or inpatient event, nothing will change. For emergent or inpatient situations we will be able to assist you at St Mary’s in Hobart, IN. For urgent care as well as inpatient care we can assist you at Pinnacle Hospital in Crown Point, IN.

We will also be able to serve you on an outpatient basis at the Northwest Regional Surgery Center in Merrillville, IN. None of our office locations or office schedules/days will change due to any of these other changes. In short, for outpatient procedures we can serve you at one of four locations; Northwest Regional Surgery Center, St Mary’s Hospital, Franciscan Point Surgery Center, or Pinnacle Hospital. Urgent and inpatient care can be offered out of Pinnacle Hospital. Emergency services as well as inpatient care will be provided through St. Mary’s Hospital.

If after reading this, you still have questions please do not hesitate to call our office at 219-365-0220 for clarification. Again, we appreciate you trusting us with your care and hope to continue to serve you in the future.

Sincerely,

Dr. Keith Pitchford
& all of the staff at Great Lakes Orthopedics
